How to Get More Blog Traffic | Part Two

We are continuing on with part two of our series, “How to Get More Blog Traffic” with four more tips for you. Remember that you aren’t done with your blog post after it’s written. Your next priority is getting it found!

1. Post a Teaser on Forums

Start out with an interesting headline or engaging question, then include a few thoughtful sentences as a sneak peak for your post, and follow it up with the link/url. Be sure to ask other forum users to provide feedback or questions to continue the conversation.

2. List Your Content on Social Bookmarking Sites

Reddit, Digg, and Stumbleupon are just a few of the social bookmarking sites you can list your content on. These don’t have as much effect as some of the other tips but it can still be a great way to find new readers. Be sure to become a part of the community and get involved.

3. Comment on Other Blogs

This one should be seen as more of a networking tool than an advertising tool. People don’t want comments that read like spam or are obviously just there to promote another site/blog. Start by building relationships with the bloggers and provide valuable, readable feedback with your link attached.

4. Search Twitter

Twitter is a great search tool with the use of the popular hashtag. Search for the topic from your blog post and you may have great luck finding other looking for that specific information. Then, you can share a link to your post with a short description (remember to use the hashtag in your response).

That’s it for this week’s post. Check back next week for our last four tips!

Until Next Time!
