What Is Your Website’s Call To Action?

When you’re building your website or having one designed and developed for you, incorporating a “call to action” is extremely important to your marketing efforts. What is a “call to action?”

Good Question. A Call to Action is simply something or somewhere on your site that is designed to guide the viewer to obtaining a goal or objective. The call to action usually starts at the top of the page in the banner and leads the way to whichever object or item you want your visitor to gravitate towards.

Most businesses want their viewers to move towards a contact page, or phone number. If you are selling a product that is in very high demand and you don’t list a price, your goal will be to have people find out the price from you. Having a “click here to find out the price” or “contact us for pricing” button or text far up in the layout will help get customers to where they should be going.

Ok, So I got them to go to where i wanted them to, now what?

Now that you’ve completed the first and hardest step of getting your visitor to click somewhere on your website, the next step is keeping them interested and avoiding them getting bored and leaving. If the next page they are on doesn’t intrigue them or entice them to contact you, you’ll need to find a way to market that page better. To conclude, when selling a product or service online, a call to action is the first and most important step in getting your visitor from lead to conversion.
