Thrive Web Designs – 2019 in Review”
First and foremost, we brought on close to 80-90 new clients/projects, which is a huge undertaking for a team of ten. It takes every single person on our team to dig and dig every single day to meet client deadlines and whatnot. We’re super grateful for everybody who signed on with Thrive in 2019, and of course, everybody in the past as well.
(Aaron speaking.) Absolutely. We’ve had some really amazing projects this year, and also our team has grown. We lost one of our guys, but we gained Ryan and Chris, and we’re really excited to have them on board, and they’re doing an amazing job. So, they’re excited to work with you guys, and we’re excited to have you meet them.
(Josh speaking.) Yes, if you need a website update, or a security update, they’re your guys, and together, they’re working really well together. We broke the 150 5-star review mark on Google, which is a big deal for us. We’re super grateful for clients that are willing to go on and leave their honest opinion of working with Thrive. It’s super humbling for us to go on and read those reviews and of course reply to every one of them. So thank you, thank you, thank you to anybody who is willing to go on and do that for us.
(Aaron speaking.) Each year we give back to the community, and this year we were able to give back in a really big way. We were able to join forces with some other creatives in the community, and we created a benefit auction. We were able to raise a little over $10,000 for Catch, which is a local charity that gives back to the homeless community.
(Josh speaking.) Another great thing we did as a team internally is that we started doing team-building events – something we probably should have been doing a couple of years ago. It’s just healthy for everybody to get out of the office, breathe some fresh air, and watch Star Wars. We went to the movies a couple of times, we played bocce ball. We threw some axes and nobody got killed, so that was nice. That stuff is super important, just to get out, and you come back to the office rejuvenated and ready to go.
(Aaron speaking.) Absolutely.
(Josh speaking.) Anything else? Can you think of anything else about this year?
(Aaron speaking.) We just hit our ten year anniversary.
(Josh speaking.) 2020 will be our official ten years in business, so that’s kind of a big deal for us! So we’ll probably be planning some kind of event or something, as a kind of milestone. So again, thank you guys so much for a great year, we’re super excited to jump into 2020 and continue what we do best, and serve our clients. So, with that, we’ll let you go. See ya!
(Aaron speaking.) Happy 2020!

I hope everyone had a great holiday season and had plenty of time to unwind with family and friends. This time of year can be so hectic with lots of family outings, holiday traditions, and of course deadlines at work before January 1 hits, so it’s important to take advantage of some down time when it arises.
With all of that said, as 2019 comes to an end, we wanted to share some great things that our team accomplished together over this past year.
1. Another year of continued record growth
First and foremost, we continued on our yearly trajectory of welcoming over 80+ new clients onboard and close to 90 new projects total in 2019.
As a small, but growing team of 10, this is a large undertaking which takes lots of daily focus, team effort, determination and drive from every person on our crew in order to hit our client’s deadlines and goals. Out of our new clients that chose Thrive this year, they range all across the board from small businesses, to larger retailers, municipalities and more.
Regardless of the size of client, our dedication to providing unmatched quality, support and service never wavers, as we continue to grow Thrive into a statewide and nationwide leading web development company.
2. Our team grew and welcomed some new faces
As our clientele grows, so does the support capacity needed in order for us to carry on our reputation. Back in October, we lost Connor, our updates guy, as he chose to travel the world and experience life outside of Boise. In exchange, we welcomed on Chris and Ryan, both junior developers who were hired to handle our website updates and WordPress security for our clients. They are doing a phenomenal job just a few short months in, and we’re beyond excited for our new potential now with them part of the team.
3. We cracked the “150 mark” of 5-star reviews on Google
We all know how much reviews matter to both customers and business owners, and receiving so many honest reviews and testimonials from clients willing to contribute their feedback is beyond humbling.
4. Creative Good Auction was a success
This was our 4th consecutive year helping organize an event to help raise money towards ending homelessness in Boise. This year, the recipient was CATCH, Inc., and with a group of dedicated creatives and sponsors, we helped raise $10k and the event was a success.
5. We FINALLY initiated quarterly team building events
We had a great time getting out of the office every few months to catch a breather and do some team bonding! A few outings included a training course at Forward Movement Training Center, axe throwing at Base Camp Pong, Bocce Ball, seeing the Joker and Star Wars movie.
Next year will see more of the same with some fun ideas lined up, as 2020 is Thrive’s officially 10-year anniversary!
All in all, 2019 was a great year for Thrive, and we are beyond grateful to our clients year after year for putting their trust in us. 2020 marks our 10-year anniversary, which means I’m sure we’ll dream up something special to celebrate that milestone.
We hope the coming year brings you into deep focus, determination, great health, happiness and much success to follow.
Cheers to a great 2020!
