Employee Spotlight – Joe Davidson

Meet Joe Davidson, our website updates & security guru, as well as media guy. Joe has been with Thrive now for  months, so we thought it might be a good time to introduce him to the world…at a deeper level..

 

Joe DavidsonWhat do you enjoy most about working at Thrive?

I swear I’m not trying to get any brownie points here, but Thrive is probably the best place I’ve ever worked! My coworkers are fun, hardworking, kindred spirits. Our bosses are rad, compassionate humans. I get to work on all kinds of projects so I’m never bored, and it’s fun to be able to talk to so many different clients from different industries!

 

Where are you from originally?

I was born in Boise, Idaho but almost immediately moved to Pittsburgh. My family spent a few years there (where we lived in Mr. Rogers’ neighborhood!) before coming back to Idaho.

 

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I think I have way too many hobbies! When I’m not working for Thrive or Storyfort I like to stream on Twitch, work on my writing, play music with fellow Thrivian Chris, read, play video games, and hang out in the hills with my dog Loki. I’m always getting distracted by new creative projects, so my free time can also randomly be taken up by painting, wood working, cooking, or any random crafty thing I accidentally stumbled across on the internet.

 

If there’s one nickname you’d be fine with clients calling you, it would be….

I don’t know if I’ve had a nickname since I was like, six years old. What are my options? We have some wonderful, creative clients and I’m sure I’d be fine with whatever they came up with.

 

Do you prefer long walks on the beach…or….?

I think cold, foggy walks on a beach in the early morning is one of the best experiences life has to offer. But if you’re trying to sneakily ask me to describe your idea of a perfect date: “That’s a tough one. I’d have to say April 25th. Because it’s not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket.”
