Thrive Spotlight: Meet Jason

Thrive has grown!

For the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing our awesome team one at a time on our blog. This week, we’re featuring Jason Jacobs, our web designer/developer. We asked him a few questions about what he does, and how he feels about being an hard-hitter at Thrive!

Jason

Who is Jason Jacobs?

I am a dedicated husband, father, and friend.

I work as a web design and content creator for Thrive Web Designs.

I am a creative person. I enjoy writing, drawing, painting, music, cooking…the list goes on.

Where are you originally from? What brought you to Idaho?

I was born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago.  After living in a variety of midwestern locales I came to Idaho in 2012 to put down roots and start a family with my wonderful wife Erin. I love Idaho: the people, the landscape, the weather.  It’s a great place to live and have a family.

What peaked your interest in web design and development intially?

Web design offered the best of all worlds for my abilities and interests.  Once upon a time I was a fine arts major in painting, but I was also passionate about writing and technology.  By moving to a degree in Web design I was able to bring this all together.  It is enormously challeging, filled with variety, and intensly creative.

What do you enjoy most about coming to work for Thrive each day?

The creative variety.  We have such a variety of client projects that we are involved with, from small business websites to international companies.  No two days are ever the same.

What is one unique fact about you that clients may find interesting?

Most people I meet are surprised to learn that I am a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
